Mona S Al-Ahmad, MBBCh, FRCPC, FAAAAI

A Professor of Medicine at the College of Medicine, Kuwait University and the Faculty Chair of the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Fellowship program at the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialization. She is a senior consultant in Medicine, Allergy and Clinical Immunology and the Chairperson at the Department of Allergy and Head of Immunology Unit, Al-Rashed Allergy Center, Ministry of Health, Kuwait. Dr Al-Ahmad is also the founder and current president of the Kuwait Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, at Kuwait Medical Association (KMA).

Dr Al-Ahmad’s current research interests include allergic respiratory diseases and severe asthma phenotypes. She is the lead author and principal investigator of many regionally and internationally funded research projects and has many publications in peer-reviewed journals. She has also collaborated on many books and white papers. She is on the editorial board of many international journals and the deputy editor of World Allergy Organization Journal (WAOJ).
